Just outside the city center of Brielle, a gas station and supermarket have been built on the site on Thoelaverweg. Construction company Vrolijk built the shell of the supermarket, after which Albert Heijn independently completed the finishing touches.
Given its location outside the fortress and the corresponding policy of the Municipality of Brielle, the building blends into its surroundings. The hunter’s cottages realized on the sedum-covered roof ensure that the rich history of this site is reflected in the new construction.
